How to use

• Test your soil to determine the current pH level and the amount of lime required (soil testing kits are available at garden centres).
• Prepare the area by removing weeds and debris. For best results, till or loosen the soil to a depth of about 15cm (6 inches).
• Spread the recommended amount of garden lime evenly over the soil surface. Use a spreader for larger areas to ensure even coverage.
• Water the soil thoroughly after application to help the lime soak into the soil. Allow 4-6 weeks for garden lime to take full effect before testing soil pH again or planting sensitive crops.

Gardening Tip: Apply garden lime in autumn or early spring to allow time for it to work before the main growing season. Avoid over-application – too much lime can make soil overly alkaline, which creates different problems for plants. Always base your application rate on soil test results for best outcomes!
