How to use

• Spread an even layer of biochar mulch over the soil in your garden or around your plants. A thickness of about 5-10cm (2-4 inches) is generally recommended.
• Gently water the mulch to help it settle into place and begin enriching the underlying soil.
• As the mulch breaks down over time, it will release nutrients into the soil and improve soil structure and fertility. Top up with a fresh layer as needed to maintain coverage.
• For potting mixes, blend biochar mulch with Serbajadi Multipurpose Compost Soil to create a nutrient-rich, moisture-retentive growing medium.

Gardening Tip: Avoid applying mulch too thickly (over 10cm) as this can reduce oxygen availability to soil and roots. Keep mulch a few centimetres away from plant stems and tree trunks to prevent creating a moist environment that may attract pests. Water the mulch regularly to help it break down and release its benefits into the soil!
