Identification:
- Soft-bodies, flat and waxy
- Oval shape and body segmentation
- Females appear as nymphs resembling cottony spots whilst males (look completely different) are gnat-like and have wings looking like small flies
Damage to plants:
- Inject toxins into plants whilst feeding, causing deformation
- Yellowed and dropping leaves
- Distorted growth
- Sooty black mold
- In extreme cases plant will defoliate and/or die
Natural Enemy:
- Ladybirds
Remedy:
- Wipe off with a damp cloth/cotton bud and spray with Serbajadi Neem Spray Extra Strength.
